The main objective of the law is to regulate the food labeling to warn of high content of calories, saturated fat, sodium and sugars. Prior to its entry into force, the law led to the McDonald’s US to change its Happy Meals and the Italian company Ferrero to threaten legal action to protect its popular egg Kinder Surprise would disappear from the market in what experts see as a pioneering standard worldwide for its level of demand.(AP Photo/Esteban Felix)
