U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken says the Islamic State group has suffered many losses in the past nine months. Mr. Blinken spoke Wednesday on French public radio. He said the military campaign to stop the militant group had killed more than 10,000 IS fighters since August 2014. State Department officials had been reluctant to provide a number of dead from the campaign. On Tuesday Mr. Blinken attended a meeting of coalition partners with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi. The group discussed military plans against the Islamic State group.
